Snoring Appliances
More and more people are being diagnosed with some form of sleep apena. One sign of this is snoring that is interrupted and followed by a guttural gasping sound. A sleep study provided by a physician sleep specialist is necessary for a diagnosis. Many times a CPAP machine is prescribed for treatment.
In cases of a diagnosis of mild obstructive sleep apena, or just plain loud snoring, a dental appliance designed to "open the airway" can be used. These appliances are custom made to insure a good fit. Many patients find them extremely helpful, as do many spouses. Two short appointments are all that are needed to design, fabricate and deliver these appliances.
